BREATHING DURING EXERCISE 

- Exhale during the pushing or pulling portion of an exercise (concentric phase). 
- Inhale during the lowering portion of an exercise (eccentric phase).

Examples: 

- During the DB Bench Press, exhale when pushing the DB’s up and inhale when lowering the DB’s back to your chest.

- During the DB One Arm Row, exhale when pulling the DB up to your body and inhale when lowering the DB back down towards the floor.
